Here at BD Electrical Maintenance Services, we  offer a fast and prompt service testing appliances to the Australian / New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3760: 2010.

This standard specifies the procedures for the safety inspection, testing and tagging of low voltage and polyphase (240V-415V) electrical portable appliances and machinery, connected to the electrical supply by a flexible cord which is currently in service, serviced or repaired and returning to service and available for resale or hire.

Inspection and retesting intervals can range from daily, monthly, 3 months, 6 months, Yearly, 2 years and up to 5 yearly testing intervals. AS/ NZS 3760: 2010 also includes the inspection and testing specifications for RCD’s Under the standard, the basic tests conducted on each appliance are:

1. Visual inspection
2. Insulation resistance.
3. Earth continuity.
4. Polarity.
5. Earth leakage

The Standard requires record keeping and a history of both fail and pass tests for each appliance.
I provide both a printed report and emailed report of results using Metrel PATLINK Pro Software. Which incorporate an asset register and historical record of all test items and results. All Compliant equipment will have a test tag attached which including a QR code, the date tested, the retest date, the name of the person conducting the test and a reference to AS/NZS 3760
